I am getting over ammonia for the second time and know how you feel, I was appalled one time when I was asked for my ID for a cold med, made me not want to buy it, and I did not. I am 1000 mg of anti, benadryl, nyquil and also inhalation aerosol.

Usually I take a hot shower, make some Chicken noodle soup and inhale the steam through my nose until it cools enough for me to eat.
Maybe try horseradish? Or Wasabi. That stuff is intense!

Michelle, if you're using the salt with the neti pot it could be acting as an irritant like saline spray. After all it would just basically be the same thing in a different form. Of course if you're just using warm water then it's not that. But I found when I used the Neti pot I couldn't use the salt mixture with it. I also wonder if rinsing those passages every night could be irritating them just a little bit. Have you tried cutting back to once or twice a week?
Could there be a food allergy as well possibly?

I would eat horse or dog poop if it could make my lungs stop hurting lol...

I wondered about that also. I've used the neti with just water before...no way am I ever doing that again! lol

no. no allergies. just air quality. He is getting the main humidifier going today.

Are you taking Mucinex? That does work. and doing deep breathing exercises? any tapping your back to help loosen it up?

I am a huge fan of a Saltaire sinus rinse. I triple the strength of the saline b/c I find it shrinks back my sinus passages, allowing everything to flow out. I also throw some apple cider vinegar and peroxide in the bottle. If I feel something coming on, I take some oil of oregano and it wipes it out.
I do it every morning in the shower and b the time I get out it has worked its magic.
Haven't had a sinus infection in years.

That is so weird you mentioned Mucinex because I have heard that a lot lately. I was just worried it might have a bad reaction because of all the med I am taking right now.
