Christmas Trees - When do they go up and come down?
Curious on THAT one.
When I was a child they went up on Christmas Eve and came down on Epiphany (Jan 6th) - per my father's family (my grandfather's parents were from Stuttgart) but then my mother was from Georgia and it was "bad luck" to have a tree up after Jan 1 and they all went up shortly after Thanksgiving. We usually get one up the 2nd week of Dec and take it down on Jan 6th but no rhyme or reason....just getting around to it.

Up the day after Thanksgiving and comes down after Three Kings Day...Jan 6 or 7th.

Ours is going up tonight - Dec. 4th, 'cause we didn't get it done over the weekend. (We did get the lights up outside.) The tree usually comes down just after New Year's - hopefully before the needles start dropping. I am generally sick of looking at the tree by New Year's.

Up the the first weekend in Dec, down after New Year's when I have time.

Ours goes up the second weekend of December and then comes down just after New Years. I try and time it before all the needles start falling off!

It goes up the first week of December and comes down shortly after New Years

The tradition in my parent's house was always to put the tree up one week before Christmas, and take it down within a week after the New Year.
My MIL puts hers up before Thanksgiving and takes it down a day or two after Christmas.
