full moon, a few random thoughts

Pretty pathetic: I turned on my parents' TV, checked the 300s and the 640's for boxing, found none, and shut it off. No boxing, no NFL football, no college football, no Canadian High School Football, then there is nothing on.

Hepzibah was in bad pain today, holding up her front leg, and when let out in the field briefly, started eating grass. I thought I would slip her some carprofin a couple of times a day and see how she did after a few days. But instead, I took her to the vet. $123 later, x-rays, being loaded in the car, being weighed, being walked up and down the hall a few times, having her temp took -- high 103.9, being loaded and unloaded in the car again, and the answer is, slip her a carprofin a couple of times a day and see how she does. The saw a little pano going on, but her shoulder, elbow, and leg looks fine. Thank you Hepsi-Pepsi that's all I needed. Yeah, it is better to know, but really!!!

This is the first time in my life I changed the calendar on time, and certainly the first for changing it a day early. I left the whippet-GSD up ALL month, but today I had had it. I switched it. You can only bear so much, and waking up to that was just too much.

I thought Jenna was looking pretty good for an old girl. Uhg! I was right, there is quite a bit more of her than usual. She weighed in at a whopping 84 pounds. I have her in with Hepzibah who weighs 55 pounds, which is not exactly bad for an 8 month old bitch pup. But it seems like Jenna is taking the Lion's share of the food. And a certain four letter word is in order.

I am going to a Christmas party with a group of people I haven't seen in probably 10 years tomorrow. I am bringing Watercrest Salad. I bought two different kinds of marshmellows, flavored and plain. Has anyone used flavored ones in this, and how did that work out???

Another pathetic thing, while I sit here waiting for the site to come alive I keep dealing three-handed pinochle with a double deck and kitty. I have been playing once or twice a week with my sister and brother in law, and I had been winning pretty good, and then I hit a losing streak. But I am just dealing now and checking out each hand and how the kitty works with it. Sick, Sick, Sick!!! Why can't ya'all get busy and have a flaming argument about religion or newbie-breeding or people getting banned or something. I need to wake up!

I bought a few more little people. The hoarding is getting worse. I still haven't bought that liver-colored dog or the farm sold in Europe yet. But I came really, really close this past week.

Oh selzer, I wish I could relate to your thoughts but we are on different planets except for my best wishes that your dog's pain improves.

I hate watching sports, marshmellows in salad (only chocolate covered See's). I can relate to hoarding, my husband is borderline and i feel like my house and office is caving in on me. Anyway, hope your party goes well and a good game for you this weekend.

Reunions of any kind are always weird for me,especially if I haven't seen the people in a while. Have fun at the party and the colored marshmellows should be fine.

I tasted the colored marshmellows just now and they taste kind of like dusty kool-aid so I went with the white marshmellows that also, tasted like dusty kool-aid. I guess I am not a marshmellow fan either. But since I am taking this somewhere for other people to eat, well, I will leave the experimenting to family doings. (I did add mandarin oranges.)

Anyhow, the reunion thing. This is like an ecunemical church-type thing that I was deep into when I was in my twenties. But some of my best friends there got into prison ministries (something that I just don't feel called to do), and I kind of dropped off. The group has been growing though, So I expect I will only know a handful of people there.

I guess I better get my name-tag out. Uhg.
