We did this last year to the concrete floor in our dog/puppy room. For easier cleaning/sanitizing we had it installed with an integrated baseboard (epoxy goes a few inches up the wall, no seam where wall and floor meet). Quartz aggregate was added to the top giving it a sandpaper feel. Dogs have no problem getting traction, even when wet. Though it's not particularly comfortable for people to walk on barefoot.

The last photo, with the quartz coloring looks like "Granitex" we install this type of flooring in garages. You can add extra layers of clear coat, that will help with bare feet, but can be a bit slippery when wet.

The epoxy is pretty much impermeable to even transmission fluid leaks. Oil stains, etc... Most chemicals won't touch the finish if you use enough clear coat on top.

It's a beautiful floor, and easy to clean.

Crap. I wish all of you lived near me. We offer the Granitex flooring at $6.65 s.f. the "faux" flooring that was showed. Well, that's the same price pretty much.

You all live in High Dollar areas!

the Granitex floor, expect a 4 day turn around easy, if you expect a high quality job.

The stained/waxed floor, expect a 4 day turnaround.

That's if you have competent contractors.
