Worried bout Kitty :(
There is something wrong with Beast's Kitten, Snack. I am waiting for my parents to come stay with the kids and am headed to the ER. I don't really know a lot about cats or their ailments. I don't know whether to go to the closest ER vet or the one affiliated with the specialists we have always used for the dogs. Girl is crying in her room with worry. I hope this turns out ok

Prayers for kitty...

Keeping my fingers crossed. Usually it's best to take them at the first sign of them showing illness, since they're pros at hiding it until they absolutely can't anymore.

I wish I had selected the other veterinary er... I have not had a good experience here yet! We are $1000 in with no clue as to what could be wrong... And no suggestions for a next step. At this point I want to see the blood results myself .

Kitty is lethargic to the point of not moving. She is usually a spitfire and never very cuddly/friendly. I don't even know what to ask for.

Hoping for a clear diagnosis, effective treatment, and speedy recovery.

All that we see is gas in stomach. There is one spot in the upper bowel that maybe could be a thin something.... Or maybe it is the overlap of another piece of bowel! Other view does not show the area. The blood work came back "normal".... Except for slightly elevated whit cell count. Apparently normal is 17000 and jake is at 19000. They suggested I leave her here to have fluids overnight. I do not feel very confident in their treatment or ability to diagnose. I want to take her home and if she is doing worse go to a different er!!! I should have gone to the one affiliated with all our dog specialists in the first place!

I have asked for subq fluids to guard against dehydration from the vomiting. I asked for Pepcid to help with her tummy. They are suggesting an abx... And despite all tests being negative and my cats being100% indoor and clean bill of health at routine checkup in summer a dewormer. With her being so lethargic and sick seeming I am not sure how I feel about adding a poison in her system. The dr said there us no indication, it is just routine.

I need to learn more about cats. I feel like I am not able to really be a partner in her care. I feel like i can't advocate or make good decisions!!!

was the cat eating normally .

Cats that go off their food can develop fatty liver disease very quickly . On x-ray the liver would have been enlarged.
Examining the gums - they would have been pale or have a yellow tinge .

Kitty seemed fine yesterday. Carried her to bed and she snuggled in- when my husband moved her off his leg she growled and was unhappy. She continued to be unhappy and growly so we thought she did not like that one of the other cats was in the room too. We put her out and we heard her growl a bit more. We saw she settled with Boy and figured all was well. This morning we were checking on her and while Husband was carrying her she made vomiting noises. She puked- a little liquid and partially digested food. I figured she'd had an upset tummy and all would now be well. Mid afternoon I realized she was not laying in her usual spot. I found her lying right by the furnace- really hot spot. I brought her out to the favored spot on the sofa and she stayed there. She was*very*growly though. She kept laying oddly and stretching out her paws. After bath time for kids I saw she was gone and again found her by the furnace. I saw that there were two pile of vomit near her. I lightly warmed some canned food and brought it to her. All she did was growl. I took her to the ER at that point.

She was quiet and in a sleep ball the whole time we were there. They gave me no ideas of what it could be or really any plan of action so I have brought her home. I will be at the vet when they open at 8:30. I opened her crate and she came out...walked around and went right back to the crate. I tried some more wet food but she just growled at the food. She is in fact being really growly again now that we are home. I am afraid to go to sleep. I am worried about her.

I have no idea what to ask the vet or what should be of concern. Poor kitty :(
