Default Anybody In MI Going To College For Nursing?

Winter semester, I'll be attending college (community) with the intentions of majoring in nursing (it's a ranking program). Just wondering if there's anyone on here who lives in Michigan that's going into/intending on going into the nursing program?

All I can say is if you are going into nursing - a great career! - get your RN and not just an LPN. Better pay and opportunity with an RN.

I do not myself but I work for a private college that has a very competitive nursing program. It's a really popular program and everyone I know has got great jobs!

Yeah, I'm going for RN.

Yeah, I know a few people in it already and they love their jobs. I really am excited and looking forward to it!

Glad your going to school in Michigan and not CA. We have a huge surplus of new grads a very few new grad training programs upon graduation. There's been over 700 applicants for 10 positions. The guidance counselors in high schools are no longer recommending this field. I'd start looking now to see when the hospitals post their new grad training programs. Good luck, it's stressful.
