I've never spent my money at a starbucks until I went to TN on a mission trip. I took one of the kids to buy poison ivy stuff and he wanted a starbucks. Spent $8 and it was totally not worth it.
I use to grind my own, but now just use folgers(and I have a cheapo mr. coffee to brew it) Paramount breakfast blend was really good/I got hooked on it when I worked in a restaurant(especially the ice coffee with fresh 1/2 & 1/2), not sure if that is a local company, but it has always been the brand I'd buy. I would buy it in bulk/ whole beans to grind. I only drink a cup a day, so am no longer prioritizing my coffee. I think the smell is so much better than the flavor~whenever I pass a starbucks I can see how it draws in people! Tim Horton's is now in the area, we'll see how the Starbucks/Horton challenge plays out. Last edited by onyx'girl; 11-19-2012 at 07:59 PM. |

Coffee junkie here!
My favorite is white coffee. It's less acidic, & has 2-3 times more caffeine than regular coffee. It's almost raw coffee beans, when brewed, is a light tan colored, sometimes has a slight green tint to it. (The darker the roast, the less caffeine coffee has) I usually put coconut oil& coconut milk in my coffee & sometimes Stevia. It's very easy to find in WA (at least western WA). Cash & Carry here sells it, so does my local grocery store (QFC). If I buy regular coffee, I generally go with a Kona blend, or a light to med roast breakfast type blend.

Eight O'Clock Original ground just before brewing and served black. I have it every morning...just two cups and I am happy everyday.

Except also double the two cups, awh **** quadruple it. I use a stove top percolator, use one and you will never use gross drip pots again! |

stove top percolator makes much better coffee!!! Where can you even find one anymore? Mom always had the glass ones.

I was in Cabela's the other day and they had beautiful percolators, but very very expensive!
We bought one in the camping section of Walmart for like $15.00, if you don't like ordering online

I have 2 Keurig machines at my house. The B70 Platinum and the new VUE machine. I'm partial to the Caribou coffee. However Dunkin Donuts
just made a return to my area. a new one opened up ten minutes from the house. They are always packed and i think its for their awesome coffee.

Trader Joe's House Blend or almost any Dark Roast from Starbucks. Black.
Just recently switched back to a pot from the Keurig.
