I don't like flavored coffee. I buy Peet's whole bean French Roast and grind it at home. Most other brands and roasts of coffee usually make me feel sick. I've had what felt like caffeine poisoning before, or just really sensitive to caffeine.

Green Mountain Half Calf (for Keurig)
Timothy's Columbian decaf (for Keurig) Both of these are very nice if you limit your caffeine intake. I just can't drink a "pot of caffeine," anymore.

Mornings for my go-cup - Starbucks Verona, Expresso Roast, or Italian Roast. Buy it at the grocery and brew it at home. Sugar or Truvia, and 1/2 and 1/2. For a treat, I like caramel mocha lattes from Starbucks, Panera, or McDs. Love peppermint mocha and always treat myself to a few during the holiday season.

I'm surprised to hear so many people still drink Folgers! I'm a coffee snob, I love a strong dark roast. Since a high-acid coffee tends to upset my tummy, I generally prefer the low-acid varieties such as Sumatra and Ethiopian. But the Rainforest blend from Costco is what I normally buy--it's fair trade and organic, and tastes great when freshly ground and brewed. I take mine with honey and cream, but I love espresso drinks too.
It's been discovered recently that coffee has some health benefits--when freshly ground and brewed, it has loads of antioxidant activity. Unfortunately, the antioxidants dissipate within 20 minutes or so, so be sure to drink your coffee nice and fresh! |

Cafe Verona (starbucks) Columbian Dark Italian (starbucks) Don Fransico's Hawaiian Blend Don Francisco's Columbian Folgers Yuban dark roast oh well the list goes on.....the coffee has to be the perfect temp. Like a fresh poured cup and the first few sips, ahhhh.... I used to like flavored coffee now I can not stand them! Well, I will go now and have another cup of coffee! Happy Saturday everyone!!!! |

I like Peets coffee too. Also, a local one called Craven's. For Starbucks ones, I like Verona the best. Currently I'm diggin' Tully's Espresso roast. I have a spoonful of Splenda in it with some coffeemate in the am, then for my afternoon cup I have a little Splenda with half and half. Or rather, right now, it's just the sugar-free liquid Coffeemate Peppermint Mocha flavor. I LOVE coffee. I don't really ever drink mochas or anything (700 calories? No way, I'd rather drink that in beer, heh) though. I don't get breaks at work, but that is the ONE THING I INSIST ON, is running down the road around 2-3pm to get MY COFFEE. After 9 years, my boss knows better than to deny me this.

I quit Folger's ages ago and went to Yuban. It's very mellow/sweet (Columbian).
But the "ultimate" for me, is TULLY's!!! Oh my gosh. Way better than Starbucks! Their "House blend" and "Breakfast blend" are magnificent! Tully?s Coffee Shops: Your friendly neighborhood coffee shop Tully's Espresso roast We got some of that at Bi-mart and LOVE it. Last edited by msvette2u; 11-17-2012 at 12:32 PM. |

Years ago I went to Hawaii a couple times and fell in love with Kona coffee. My problem was that when I bought some beans and ground them and made coffee at home it never tasted the same. I experimente with different types of tap, filtered and bottled spring water and could never get it to taste like it did there. Any one know what I was doing wrong.
