I LOVE them all but my vote would be for the pic of Kaiser laying on the rock. Absolutely beautiful!

IMHO, I don't think any of those pictures are "contest worthy". That's probably why you're having a hard time choosing. None of them gave me the " wow factor".
Out of all of them, the lake shot was the most intriguing. I would have liked to see more depth or possibly HDR. The second pic with Keiser on the rock, is a beautiful portrait, but again, not the type of image that wins contests. OTOH, can you give us an idea what the theme is? Maybe those pictures are fine for that particular contest. |

thats the thing, there isn't a theme and most of the people entering had no prior photography background. I feel a little bad entering anything, because most of my worst is better than their best. Furthermore, I'm almost embarrassed to enter anything at all because I wasn't prepared (had I known about the contest prior to this class, I would have come up with a real photograph as opposed to entering a snapshot I took that was meant for memory purposes as opposed to real art). On the flip side, they expect me to send SOMETHING in, so I'm struggling to find the best of the what I had to work with. The only constraint was that the picture had to be taken while we were here for school.

Ok, have you taken all the pictures while at school? Or do you have time to go take something else? Are you allowed any post processing? Can you convert to BW or run though an image editing program? Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

Yup, these were taken during my free time on weekends. I have about 90% Kaiser pictures and the rest are random ones from our hikes (and obviously a football game).
I thought about converting the Kaiser on the rock picture to BW. I dont have any of my actions that I normally use, but I can still convert it. I was torn between doing that and keeping the softer fall colors (even though they are mostly yellow).

Here's one of the photography forum groups I belong to.
Below is a link to some of the random assignment winners. All those images have something very unique about them. http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/winners Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |
