My hubby is gone
....and on his way to Afghanistan.
 I hate that he has to deploy again, but I knew it was going to happen. The only plus is that this deployment is 9 months compared to the 15 month one he had last time. We dropped him off this morning and I let the kids skip school. We did a bit of retail therapy and I may have spoiled them a bit today.

I have he uptmost respect for military families, dh and I are apart a week and I lose my marbles. He is paid $150tax-free/day which in my research is in keeping with military deployment, but my goodness, money aside, I cannot deal with more than a couple days. My respect to you, your family and prayers for his safe return. My opinion and mindset is it must, be an incredible bond and strength of persons who can keep a family strong through such. My hat is truly off, I could not do it and applaud those who can.

It was 50% off plus an extra 20% off with my coupon. I am now the proud owner of platinum rimmed china, 8 piece setting, 2 oval serving plates, 3 vegetable bowls, coffee pot, sugar/cream bowls, butter dish, gravy boat, and salt/pepper shakers.  Let's hope the hubby doesn't look at the account too soon. He knew I was getting this stuff, just not today lol.
