And please feel free to correct me if I've misnamed it, or there's a better term to apply to what I'm about to relate:
On a typical morning, the dogs will sleep until I get up. This past week, DH's schedule changed, so he's been letting the dogs out for the am pee. When they come back inside, my puppy thinks I should be awake by then so he jumps on the bed and shoves his muzzle under the covers to find my face. This morning, he stomped on my hair (it's long, in a ponytail) and it hurt so freaking much that I couldn't even tell him to get off, because I was silenced by the excruciating pain. But the strangest thing happened - just when I was thinking "get off me you brute!" he lifted his paw. He stood where he was, but held his paw up. What's with that? I thought maybe my body charged out some weird energy or something? I'm not educated in esoterica, so is this possible? Or did he read my mind? How did that happen? Any guesses? |

Esoterica is the brand name for a skin cream used to remove facial brown/dark spots. I'm not sure what you're referring to.

I looked up esoterica and the definition didn't quiet fit. But I do understand what you're saying and here's what I remember reading once. Dogs think in pictures since they don't really have a 'language'. If you think of something in a picture form, they can see it through a a sense we don't really have (I can't find the source behind this reading
so I may be wrong ). But besides thinking 'get off me you brute!' did you imagine yourself feeling hurt...? Probably. And maybe he saw that and stood there with his paw up because he realized what he was doing?!?

Well, I do ever feel like a complete moron! LOL, and guess how much time I spend in the beauty aisles or reading fashion magazines...how stupid. I guess I should use google even more often, sigh. So obviously I don't know what the general term is for people who believe in human energy fields or the ability to read minds. I went to an occult show once and they had booths set up about this, but I didn't think that would be the right word to use in the title. I was so wrong! Now I know that a few members here have age spots...whoopie. So do I. Maybe I should buy some fancy cream, now that I know what it's called, lmao. |

Thanks Amina! But what about reading the human energy fields? Is that still telepathy, or is there another word for it? I thought there was a general term for all the stuff that can't be 'proven' and most people don't usually believe in. Not paranormal? Or is it? I also like what you said about dogs thinking in pictures. If you remember where you read it, please let me know!

I just checked wiki, and that's not it. But thanks for trying to help. I should have just put "weird, out-there beliefs" in the title. I thought it would be sort of insulting, though, so I used what I *thought* was the correct terminology. That will teach me to try to be clever!
