I'm doing ok here for now. My parents are a couple miles away, so I'll probably check in on them in an hour, but mostly staying in doors when the real storm hits a little later. I'm tempted to go check out the water, but that's probably not the best idea.

Still have power for the moment. Lakota has ants in her pants, the kitten keeps trying to catch all the leaves blowing in front of the glass door and meowing at the ones stuck to the sky light. Almost time for a potty trip and I'll check on my horse.
Good luck everyone.

So far, still not as bad as I thought it would be. If I didn't know any better, I wouldn't think we had a major hurricane bearing down on us. But time will tell, as I heard that the worst will hit around 8 pm tonight...

Very windy here in Northern Baltimore. I am very worried about the huge trees around my house. I parked my car on a relatively empty lot with few trees around. It is getting very windy. Let the dogs out earlier in the afternoon and we will be stuck indoors until the storm passes. We are around 30 miles from the projected path of the eye. The city is completely shut down, they are discouraging any driving in the streets. They evacuated the animals from the city shelter this morning, it is on the waterfront.

At least my cousins are RETIRED from the BCFD. Oy. Worry about them too, but my baby comes first. Just got off the phone with her.
