Getting pretty windy here in upper westchester county. I think for the most part I feel pretty prepared with plenty of food, water, Candles and of courses dog food and treats for Luke. I hope everyone stays safe and good luck! Enjoy electricity and Internet.

Checking in from Cape Cod...
Storm is still about 300 miles out but already we have severe flooding and 60+ MPH gusts, predicted to rise to 100. No evacuation for my neighborhood yet, though most of the lower-lying neighborhoods have been evac'd. My lab in Woods Hole is beginning to flood. My lab in CT is flooded. Yay! Still have power though, but with trees already coming down I don't predict that lasting long. If it's this bad here, I can't imagine you folks in NJ and such. Stay safe! |

11 am still have power, the winds have picked up, we just had high tide, it's higher than normal here but not flooding yet. Our next high tide will be the kicker, at 11 pm tonite, full moon, in the storm..

Another from right outside of Phila. My house doesn't flood but EVERYTHING around me does. More worried about all of the huge trees that surround my house. Wind isn't too bad yet but a couple of big branches are already down.
My yard is also a mess when it rains and with 5 dogs, that sucks. On Sat, we built the dogs their own little kennel potty spot out of the rain and to keep them out of the yard which has helped a bit.
