You know that movie that you just loved when you were a kid-well have you ever watched it as an adult and still enjoyed it? If so, what is the name of the movie?
I have more than one. Mine are- Lady and the Tramp; A Little Princess; The Fox and the Hound and Toy Story. I was actually a teen when Toy Story came out but whenever they release a new one-I rush my kids out to the movies so that they can watch it but the truth is I am just as eager as them. And this one belongs in the confessions thread but I actually cried when Andy grew up and gave Woody away in the last one. Reading through mine, I guess my love for dogs started as a child-for instance I liked the movie Annie, but my favorite parts of the movie were the parts with the dog in it. My daughter also is displaying a deep love for dogs-she is in 2nd grade and every little story or paragraph her teacher tells her to write-she always writes them about dogs. And I can't show her any movies were something happens to a dog, she gets very, very upset.

Oh believe me I cried too when Andy gave them away. Of course I typically cry at least once in pretty much EVERY movie I watch. Cars? Yep, I cried. Seabiscuit? Yep, I cried. Armageddon, uhh I pretty much sobbed. I'm pathetic like that.
Hmm well I grew up with old classics, Gene Kelly movies, movies with the rat pack, etc. I still love them. One of my favorites though was All Dogs Go To Heaven. Some others were and are Newsies, Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken, The Man From Snowy River, and the First Olympics. Now if anyone else on here has seen all of those too I will be impressed!!

You know I was in my 30s when most of the movies you all have mentioned came out. (Not the classics, obviously, but the others.)
I still enjoy watching any of the old Disney hand-animated movies. The ones I saw as a child were Lady and the Tramp, Sword in the Stone, and Sleeping Beauty come to mind. For some incomprehensible reason, my parents took me to see Ben Hur when I was around 5 years old. I found it deeply, deeply disturbing and I've never been able to watch it again.

Robin Hood (1938), just watched it with my nieces -- still awesome!
The three musketeers The mark of Zoro The Wizard of Oz The West Side Story Mighty Joe Young King Kong Son of Kong Them The Sound of Music The little Princess Little Lord Fauntleroy Oliver Twist Jane Eyre Rudolph How the Grinch Stole Christmas Miracle on 31st Street Shanendoah The Friendly Persuasion Heidi Tarzan Butt Abbot and Lou Costello meet the murderer (could be a little different title, that was the best though) Charlie Chan The Insidius Dr. Fu Manchu Dead End (and the others featuring the Dead End kids) The Bells of St. Mary Dracula The wolf man Frankenstein The Little Shop of Horrors Jaws (yeah, I saw that the first time in the movies when I was nine or ten) All the old lassie movies National Velvet The littlest Reble, and the Little Colonel PS. I never saw the animated disney flicks because my mother went to take my brothers when they were 2 and 4 to see Bambi and they charged her full price for both kids, she paid it, and never took any of us to see a disney movie afterwards. I have never seen Bambi, but I have seen a couple of the others since, but not as a kid.

My mother took me to see the Omen, well she took all four of us. I was about 10. That is a pretty disturbing movie. There were only two movies my dad chased me off to bed and wouldn't let me watch. One was Sybil, so I got the book and read it when I was 10. The other was Private Benjamin.
