Default What is your job (and accomplishments at it!) ?

I currently don't have a job except as a full time student looking for a job. lol I have been on Dean's List every semester though!

So...What do you do? or Where have you worked in the past? Any brags about things you have achieved at your current or past position?

I know there has probably been a post like this before, but I haven't seen one in at least 8 months and I never actually read it if there was one.

I'll bite. I am a stay at home Mom.I became a Mom at age 16. My accomplishments... I raised 3 kids to adulthood. None of them has ever been in trouble. Two of them got full academic scholarships to prestigious universities. Two of them are married with families of their own and great jobs. One is a florist and one is an electrician. One played semi pro hockey. My youngest is a junior in college and headed to law school after. Now I can retire and enjoy myself raising Wolfie.

I'm a Senior HelpDesk Analyst in the IT department at a college. I do a combination of technical work (I manage classroom equipment for the college, I do all repairs and diagnostics for student owned laptops, and I do a lot of account management) and customer support (we have a call center and do walk in support). I've worked on the HelpDesk team since I was 18 (I'm 27) and have had five promotions. I have CompTIA A+ certification, HDI CSS and HDI SCA (I failed the SCTL exam but got the promotion anyway, hehe) and I have ITIL Foundations training but never took the formal exam. Besides my team leader (who is an associate director in our dept) I am the senior person on our team both in the time I've worked there and my level.

I (attempt to) teach people to drive. Some days are definitely better than others.

I'm a stay at home mom currently and a student finishing up my certification to be an obedience trainer. Once i get my certification (actually before i'm done) I will probably be working as a trainer in my mentor trainers company teaching group classes in the evenings and occassionally private lessons. My future goal is to also attend school and become a vet assistant but thats probably a year or two down the road. Graduated high school a semester early, was the first in my class to be accepted to college. Working on raising two kids and hoping to enroll my daughter in kindergarten in the fall with my son following to kindergarten in a couple years.

I am an unemployed Vet Tech who has been working at IKEA for the last 4 years since I've found it impossible to land a vet tech job since I graduated in 2007. Now I am working full time (32-40 hrs/wk) and finishing my bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies (due to graduate end of summer) so that I will hopefully be able to get a "real" job soon. Or maybe go on to get a Master's Degree in some specialized field not yet determined. I would love to be an office manager or kennel manager at a shelter, that is a dream job. Also raising 2 kids. Yep, my plate is full but I am happy! Will be happier once I get that "real" job - that will be an accomplishment! I like to say that I am a very well rounded student in that I have majored in a number of different areas of study! Took me 12 years to get that Associate's in Vet Tech because I kept changing majors, so I am a little bitter that I can't even use the degree I spent so many years chasing. It's why I've given up and decided to forget vet teching and go another route. Still hurts that I can't get a job as a tech, but oh well.
