Personally- I don't dig the "flames" idea. Here- let me show you why. I'm going to say a color, and you say the first thing that comes to your mind:

RED

...Now- did you think flames? Probably not. Because flames aren't red! They are orange, blue, or white depending on how hot they are (unless you're burning copper, in which the flames might be green).

When I think of red, I think of of these things:
-fast (as an adjective)
-sports cars
-racing
-sexy stuff <---- there could be a lot of fun to be had here in word play.

...But I don't think of flames. You know- even in forging metal (think: molding, foundations, shaping, etc) "red hot" is actually quite cool. In order to shape metal into something awesome, it needs to be way hotter than red hot.

Oh the mind of an engineer

I was thinking of maybe a tribal flaming sun- since the tribal sun is the logo of Red Hot. But I wanted it to look bad**s with flames
