Default update on husband's cancer

Well, we just got back from the doctor, and thank JESUS, the cancer has NOT spread outside the prostate! He is scheduled for surgery at the end of February (have to wait a number of weeks after a biopsy). He's going to have the robot surgery that some of you had mentioned. As the doctor was talking, telling us of the side effects, etc. all I could think of was 'I don't care if he pees his pants every day, he's alive and it's going to be ok'. I know that sounds weird, being thankful for surgery and side effects, but it really does feel like 500 lbs off my shoulders, and I know off of husband's too. Thank you all for praying, and for your support. I feel like I can share my feelings and stuff with you all that I can't with others.

Thank you for the update. Good news about the cancer not having spread. May there not be any side effects at all despite of what the docs have said. Sending you and your husband good wishes and prayers. Please keep us updated as you can. Hugs

That is good news! My FIL and my husband's cousin had the same surgery and have done really well. I'm sure you'll spoil him rotten- for a few days anyway!
