Daily Chronicle | Battery of pregnant
 woman leads to probation
"Terrell punched her in the face and head several times, according to court documents. He also hit her 3-4 times in the abdomen, knowing she was four months pregnant with his child." "He also pleaded guilty to violating his conditional discharge on two previous domestic battery cases." "He was also fined $1,660 and given 45 days in jail; however, he was expected to be released Thursday because of time already served." Wow, just 45 days behind bars for all this......and a repeat offender no less. This is definitely messed up!!!!!! ![]() ![]()

Working in law enforcement, I'm not surprised at all. I see people with a criminal history a mile long who aren't in prison- people who get arrested several times a year. It drives me crazy because they end up killing someone when they should have been in prison.

I don't get it, they let these repeat offenders out to do more damage with the excuse that our jails are overcrowded. Duh, build more jails and prisons with what all is going on in society today we need them. It would create more jobs for the construction and also create jobs for the people who would be working inside them. I have not read the actual article itself to see if the momma to be and the child are ok, but I am going to read it now.

we can berate teh judge and the moron doing the punching and kicking that also has a record of domestic violence in the past, but it should also be noted his record comes as a result from an argument with this same woman.
I think the guy is a pig, but come on people, most things in life don't happen to you by accident or by luck. If you chose to stay with an abuser, expect to get abused. If you want better for yourself, make better decisions. |

Hey Crackem..... your post is pretty typical of the general public's opinion of battered women.
If you actually go to a training on "why she stays, when she leaves" you may think differently. Domestic violence is one of the few crimes that we blame the victim for.

oh boy, here we go. Ease up people before you get all high and mighty on me. You have no idea where my life has been.
and yes, my door would be open, and you can bet her bad decisions and drama wouldn't be allowed in with her. She can make those somewhere else and people can make excuses for her there. It's hard to do a lot of things in life that need to be done. |
