Default Husband in hospital

My husband collapsed on Sunday while cleaning the cooler to go to the beach. His heart stopped (V.fib). I pounded on his chest until the medics came. Odds are good that he will make a full recovery but right now things are scary. He has nine cracked ribs and the pain is intolerable. They can't take him off the vent because his breathing is impaired by pain. There was a small setback today and I freaked out. He's in a chemical coma with a feeding tube.

I' worried about him, my son and my dog. Havoc scared the medics but allowed me to confine him upstairs. He's having to deal with a lot of strangers in the house as neighbors pitch in. My older sister is coming for a few days and an old friend who just got discharged from the military is going to take over the household so that I can concentrate on Ron.

Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated. I've experienced so much loss in the past six months and now I'm scared of an even bigger one. The good news is that he probably is okay mentally from all signs. He's a doctor as well and the head of his department is helping me through this. When I freaked out today, he came to the hospital with another colleague and reassured me.

If this had happened at the beach, I'd be a widow. It probably was a genetic fault...it was purely electrical. No damage to the heart. arteries are clear.

My prayers are with him. I'm in the area so let me know if you need anything (dog walking, whatever). You can just send me a PM. That is so scary! If that happened to Pat I just, I would know what to do. Take all the time you can with him. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sorry about your husband but glad he's going to be OK. Give Havok lottsa loving as a surrogate for your husband.

That's really scary, I'd be totally lost without my fiance and we aren't even married yet. Your husband is in my thoughts!
