Really? Are you kidding me? SOPA goes beyond piracy (its intention - not wartime protection) and infringes upon all of our liberties. Its plain wrong.

Lieberman is saying we should do what the Chinese do, and cut off the internet in times of war? He's crazy. I can't believe any politician would say we should do as the Chinese government acts.

I find it funny that people who have no technical certifications were trying to push this bill through, while everyone who is even remotely qualified in the technology world was telling them it was a bad idea. I think congress has gotten too old.

That is just more proof that even our representatives do not understand the bill(s), though you would think he would at least be aware that China is not a role model for protecting our freedoms.

He's not just saying it... the house is about to vote on it in a couple days.

But at the core it is a LEGAL issue not a technical one. I dont think thats the problem. I think its simply too obfuscated in mumbo jumbo and with big money lobbyists paid to generate support for it. Heck look at Sen. Dodd as an example, he's the chairman of the MPAA for crying out loud.
Chris Dodd's paid SOPA crusading - Glenn Greenwald - Salon.com

Haha: The MPAA thinks SOPA blackouts are gimmicks
