LOL - Yes, it is -41C here right now, which is still warmer than the -49C we had on Sunday, so I am not complaining...

This cold weather is supposed to last through the weekend and my dogs are getting "cabin fever"!

Brrr. Lucia, do your dogs wear boots in that kind of weather? How long do they stay outside with you? Yowsa! We've gotten down to in the - 20's at night before, but I think during the day if you DON'T include windchill, we've only hit in the single digits minuses. My face likes to freeze then!

(And none of those temps in the day this year yet!)

Brrr! In my neck of the woods it was 24 degrees above yesterday, and I thought that was pretty cold! My pipes were frozen until about 11:00 AM, making it difficult to bathe dogs...

N Smith - the coldest I've experienced here is -40C. Though we've had extreme wind-chill warnings to -49C for the last few days.

Supposed to get even colder tomorrow. As long as there is no wind, it doesn't bother me much.

Gryff and Keeta have not shown any issues with the cold. We do go out and walk and play fetch for up to half an hour at the time - they don't even want to come in then!

I was using the chuck-it, pick up the ball, and try to hurl it, but the ball, wet wtih dog drool, froze to the chuck-it cup!

By the way, did ya'll know that a medium cuz will stay pliable, bouncy, and retain it's squeeking properties even when covered in frozen dog drool in -35C? (temps at my place this morning, it's always a bit warmer in town).

We're feeling that over here too. We're at -33C, and -46C with the windchill. The air is unbreathable. A guy with crutches was struggling to open the door, so I ran up and pulled the door open for him with my bare fingers. My fingertips were numb for about 15 minutes, and now they are in pain and feel weird. I'm really glad I did not attempt to walk to school today(30 minutes).

My car started fine though, and it wasn't even plugged in or in a garage! Even though its electronic thermometer doesn't go below -30C, it handles the cold amazingly. It didn't even have trouble starting with just remote start.

Egads, another reason that I love good ole West Virginia. You all live in beautiful places but you can keep those cold temperatures, I do not envy you one bit.

And I thought I had it bad in the northeast with 30 degree weather. I couldn't even imagine what that feels like.
