Some of us want to lose weight for health. Some of us just want to be more fit. Some of us have weddings coming up. Whatever the reason, here's a thread to talk about it! Your fitness goals, woes, and accomplishments can all go here. The purpose of this thread is for motivation so we can cheer each other on.
My goal is to get 150 minutes of exercise in a week while losing 15lbs. I currently get no exercise a week, so I have to work up to it. What are your goals?

I need to lose about 20-30 lbs. I used to workout everyday, but started two jobs and going to school. I'm hoping I can get back into a routine in april when I graduate school and just have my two jobs.

I don't necessarily need to lose weight (though if I can, I'd like to drop 5-10). I'm looking more towards getting fit and losing my love handles and thunder thighs...so far, weight loss hasn't happened (been exercising about 60 minutes, 5 days a week and eating better), but I've dropped about 2% in my body fat...so I'm not complaining =3 I really wish we had indoor tracks here that were pet friendly. Why walk/jog 2-3 miles if I can't share it with my pup??

Being 5'1" and 130 lbs...I need to drop some weight. I still fit into a size 2 jean, and no one believes me when I say I weigh that much...but the weight is still there, and the sooner I get it off, the better! I honestly don't have a number in mind - I look healthy at 105-110, but if I weigh more because of muscle, that won't bother me.
I'm doing the TurboFire workouts 6x per week, walking the dog as often as I can, and horseback riding 1x a week. I've been keeping it up for 2 weeks and am now in my third week. So far so good! I've also been doing better with food - making my own soups to take to work for lunches, lots of fruits, veggies, and nuts for snacks, protein shake for breakfast, and usually veggies and grain for dinner since I have limited time in the evenings. I just have to make sure I'm getting ENOUGH calorie-wise.

Oh! One other thing that I find that helps me to stay motivated when I am working. Take before pictures - as much as they currently suck. Don't even necessarily LOOK at them. Just have them. Take measurements, weigh yourself, all to get a "starting point" big picture. Re-do this process every month, but try real hard not to do it any time before then. Sometimes this helps to see improvement, rather than focusing on "I only lost half a pound this week?! I lost 3 last!" If I only weigh myself once a month, it's easier to keep track of progress. Also, measurements. Some people get discouraged when they don't see the number on the scale moving. What they don't always notice is the inches lost around waist, hips, thighs, etc.

Ozzy's Walky-dog is coming in tomorrow, so once that comes in and I get him accustomed to running along side it, we can get fit together! Well... he's fit. I'm the one that needs it, but he can come along - more fun for me! LOL
I could drop 30 lbs. I just need to stop gorging myself and maybe eat healthier foods. I eat because I'm bored - A LOT. And I love all the super fatty, super high calorie foods.... I'll eat until it hurts to move. I need to just eat where I'm 'not hungry.' I bet I'd lose weight quick if I did that and rode my bike every day.

I started that Couch to 5K program last April, and lost 20 pounds on it. I've kept running 3-4x a week since then, and have lost about 40 lbs total. I could still lose about 10, but here is my real goal. The goal so huge I can barely say it out loud. I want to run the Marine Corps Historic Half Marathon in May and the full Marine Corps Marathon in October.
There. I said it.

I've always enjoyed short runs, but running for hours is a mental challenge for me. Keep us posted on your training and progress. FWIW, I use runkeeper.com to track my mileage and have used the Jeff Galloway run/walk/run method to train. I had been plagued with ankle/knee issues, but now I am running pain free and have lost little in my times. Good luck...and yes, you said it...now you need to go sign up to qualify!!
