Contrary to popular opinion

Who said scientists don't believe in God? What a ridiculous statement. Believing in science and believing in a faith are not mutually exclusive.

ok...that was kind of harsh...I just get very tired of people coming out with things like "scientists don't believe in a God so I'm going to prove it to you". I say "A God" because there are scientist all over the world with different religions. Understanding how atoms work, physics, biology, chemistry, and having faith in a religion are not in any way contradictory.

Technically speaking, understanding those sciences actually causes the bible to be inaccurate and blatantly man-made. It doesn't disprove the concept of a deity at all, it just shows that whoever wrote the bible did not fully understand how physics works. Not that that changes the integrity of the message!

But yes, many famous scientists believed. Though not all of them were Christian.

I didn't think your comment was harsh at all...and agree.

I'll check back on this thread tomorrow when it's on it's 10th page.

Science cannot prove or disprove deity. If they could do that then it wouldn't be called faith.

Who said there are no scientists who believe in God? That's just silly. There are scientists of all different faiths. Science is for the mind and the natural world. Faith is for the heart, soul, and things unseen. Faith isn't going to tell you about chemistry or biology. Science isn't going to tell you what happens after you die or if there is a creator.

I don't get the point of this thread. Some scientists did or do believe in God. And?
