This was fascinating, I'm getting more into this stuff now that I have an autistic nephew that so far cannot speak. When she started explaining why she does things or how her mind works it was so similar to what Temple Grandin describes.

my nephew started speaking via the computer also. He is quite remarkable, coming up with words and saying things that are astonishing. He uses the iPad and also uses templates to spell-out words and phrases manually.
