Seriously... is there something in the air?

Something going on we are all not aware off?

All those aggression topics, and all the Bully breed topics... there's got to be something in the water... kinda weird, isn't it?

2012...that's my husband's response....
I tell him that it's because there's too many "apps" that think for humans, so humans don't have the ability or desire to think for themselves.......thus...making us the *electronically intelligent and common sense stupid*

There is nothing so uncommon as common sense.

Mrs K -- absolute truth -- Monday my husband went for his normal walk - usually 5 miles per day, usually with one of my dogs along for the walk . Instead of heading south past the sheep farm and into the fields were houses have been expropriated for "development" (highway 407 - making its way east ) , he headed north on our road where there is a bit of a hill and beautiful mature pine trees. The wind was sharp and that was his reason for changing his route. This time he did not have a dog with him -- LUCKY . I'll tell you why. When he came home he was beside himself because at the north end of our road , at the intersection where he goes west to continue the circuit , a "pitbull" (his description) came rushing off the property and bounced over to him stiff legged mouth open all teeth flashing. He said he has watched enough aggression session to know what not to do. I should mention he is not a dog person, is a very kind hearted person who loves dogs and animals .
MRS K --- you would be proud. He stood there . He said he only moved back an inch or two and then saw that the dog was closing in so stood and in the firmest most authoritative voice told the dog NO -- GO HOME. He did not run . He did not fight . He was scared and the dog was bad . A moment later the owner came out of his garage and called the dog . Did he do anything he asks!?
No . Fortunately because I can not imagine the potential damage. The guy got his dog and said sorry and that was that . We have never seen that dog before . I don't know if he was keeping the dog for a relative or whether the dog is a permanent resident . If my husband had been travelling with one of my young dogs the situation would have been much much worse . Too many things to think about and manage . Too much crisis. The worry is that this road is used by pro bicycling teams preparing for events because of the changes in elevation. There are walkers who want to relax and take a stroll for health , enjoy the scenery , the tree farms the fields . And , then there is me who is constantly going up and down the road excersing and training the dogs .

When he came back I thought immediately of you Mrs K.

OMG Carmspack, that must have been scary for your husband. Glad he didn't have a dog with him.
