i'm so glad you're feeling well.
two specific things i was praying for you: the doc's "bedside manner" and a vehicle with better gas milage.

we'll all (here at TSA) pray for you on Sunday morning.

No car found yet...and they suddenly dropped the value of my truck by almost half. Having hard time unloading big ole gas hogs, they tell me.

Woke up at 5 am .. felt like a rib in my back was broken, had some heartburn and an annoying cough that didn't quite reach low enough to hit the mucous. Heating pad on back, rounded up some old antacids (I never use those things) and held my face in hot water/steam. Didn't sleep the rest of the night but felt okay when I finally bothered to get up. Don't know what caused the back pain or the annoying cough but I suspect the mild heartburn may have had something to do with the two helpings I had of chili for dinner last night. *grinning* Oh yeah, the chemo is really making me nauseous, can't you tell?

So, it's the weekend again. Don't have to get up early for work as I start later in the day so it's resting time. I can sleep in, yippy yay. Probably not much to report until next Monday. Thanks for all the prayers and good wishes, though. I'm sure that's what's helping so much. Have a great weekend, all.

Spent this past weekend feeling sicker than I've ever felt in my life. Thought it was possibly chemo sickness but finally figured out the cause. I forgot to pick up on Friday some really powerful drugs I'm supposed to take twice a day. By Saturday, I could not eat or drink because I was afraid everything would come right back up, not that I felt like even trying. Yuck!

Anyway, picked up the meds this morning first thing and felt better within a couple of hours. But I think I now know what chemo sickness must feel like. I don't think I like it and hope I don't really ever have it.

It sounds like the medicine will help with it. I am glad that it seems to be helping now.

Diane, I know its a drive but I would suggest going to the Chevy dealership in Jacksonville and asking to speak with Jaun Espinoza (sp!!!). He's a retired marine who we trust completely. He put us in 2 vehicles and searched for another for us until he found it. He fought hard with his sales manager for a fair price for us on the mustang we wanted to buy when he worked at the Buick dealership. He left and went to Chevy when Buick refused to take care of his customers. He's a great guy and if you tell him what you're looking for, I'm sure he'll do everything he can to find it for you. Its been almost almost 9 months since we saw him last since we changed stations but he may remember us. Just tell him the Zoppa's sent you.

I'm pretty sure he is still at the chevy dealership. He seemed to really enjoy being there when we would stop in and say hi.
