I am SOOOOOO happy to announce that my brother is finally back in the US from Iraq! He's an MP for the Army, and has been in Iraq for almost a year. I got to talk to him on the phone tonight for the first time in months! He's in Jersey for 2 more weeks, but then flying back here to FL! I can't wait! I am just so excited! Zira get's to meet her 'uncle' for the first time too! Lucky for him, he missed most of her puppy stage! I'll have to make sure we make up for that when I get my second in a few years!
![]() I am so happy that so many of our troops are back home for the holidays! So many families must be glowing with happiness right now with their loved ones home and safe! What a great way to say 'thank you' to them. I couldn't contain my excitement!

Thanks everyone! We are all very proud of him! It is very nice for all of us to breath easy again! What a relief! He was convoy patrol, so we were pretty stressed out over the last year waiting to hear from him every few months to know if he was ok. He had a few accidents and got injured a few times, as well as lost some friends during the attacks...... so I can't even begin to explain how relieved we are to have him back in the States. I am SOOOO grateful to have my brother safely back!
Now.... just the 2 week wait to see him! At least he has his phone back now and internet.... so at least we have a way to communicate for these 2 weeks! Super excited!

Yeah, same here! We were watching the news everyday to see when his troop was leaving and when they reached Kuwait! It was awesome to see the name of his troop leaving. They were the last to leave. He just has to do debriefing now for 2 weeks... classes and such to get them acclimated to life back as a civilian here.

That's so exciting to hear, congrats! A big thank you to your brother for his service
My husband came home from Iraq on Christmas as well, when you see him even after the delay it'll be the best present ever.
