Extremely upset and sick to my stomach.

Everyone that I put on my facebook, I know pretty much. I have either met or talked to, write on their wall, etc etc. I don't post alot of personal information, but I do post lots of pics of my kids when I can. Everything is set to private unless I change something individually.

I just had to remove someone from my friends list for being a self proclaimed child molester. (small children) I am SO sick to my stomach right now. I say self proclaimed because he has admitted to it, I do not think he is convicted though. It is something we are trying to find out, because if he is convicted then he will most certainly be reported because he has been going to events with the pagan community that have children at them. He is at our monthly meetup we have once a month often also. It is at a local pizza place and we have kids that attend that also.

Originally he is from NC, but he got ran off from the community there and moved here. Not only is he self professed, he also stood up for another person who was charged and convicted.

I was told about this tonight, and thank everything that is good, he is not allowed at any of my friends houses. I am sad to say that this is probably going to limit my activity now with everyone other than my friends.

So far we have not be able to find anything out on if he is just self proclaimed or actually convicted. He is very non chalant about it all and acts like it is no big deal. Needless to say I'm a little paranoid now.

Has anyone else had to deal with this? Dealing with someone that was in a group that you went to. I have made alot of friends and I don't want to loose him, but there is always going to be a chance that he is going to be around at some of the bigger more public events.

My friend went through something similar. A guy we both went to HS with, but she knew him more because she had classes with him. Recently he was caught and charged.He is now a registered sex offender. My friend pretty much cut all ties with this guy and I don't blame her.

Why does he seem like this not a big deal? Does he realize what he is into or likes is wrong and disgusting?

I would NOT remain friend with this man. You have many more friends who aren't as creepy and won't be as dangerous around your children. But that my opinion. Go wit your gut. I wish you the best and keep hoping this guy doesn't harm any children.

The friends I have that I do rituals and workings with will not allow him at their houses, so I don't have to worry about that thankfully. But there is a public monthly meetings at the local pizza place were we get together, or people can come, to learn more about the more uh, alternative, religions, I guess you could say lol. And there are about 4 or 5 public events in the year also. All of which allow kids, and all of which he can technically go to...I believe. All this happened in NC, not here in TN, one of my good friends is trying to find out allll the information and if he is actually convicted, then he will be reported. Sadly just *saying* he is isnt enough to do anything. It might get him checked out, but since it all happened in NC, there are not witnesses or people coming forward (that I know of) they can't really charge him with anything I don't think. I dunno.

I don't know if the man doesn't understand or what, but he says that he refuses to let people judge him for his actions and that he has moved on and forgiven himself, and its all ok now blah blah blah blah.

Honestly I think his attitude toward it worries me the most.

Good for you. He should at least have a restraining order from your group or events of your particular group. I don't think they can keep from a public place such as a pizza place. Have you spoken to the manager of the pizza place? Maybe he can have the guy banned or something. Otherwise I don't know much else, I am not sure about laws in regards to child molestors as they vary from state to state. All the things I know about this type of stuff is what I have seen of Law & Order SVU.lol. So who knows how accurate those are.

I highly doubt that he has moved on or anything. Once your pedophile your always a pedophile. I don't believe he can be "cured" as I have heard. Have you check the sex offender registries near you? I would check all registries in NC and TN.

The most important thing is all your kids are safe and have not been harmed. But keep an eye out at this guy. Total creep, and jerk is what he seems like.

I actually feel sorry for pedophiles. I think most can't help or change being attracted to children.

However, child molesters are absolutely disgusting. Perhaps being attracted to children wasn't their choice, but touching a child is. If you think you can't control yourself, be pro-active and stay away from children. If you think you can't even do that, just kill yourself.

This guy sounds almost proud since he defended a convicted child molester, which is really scary. I'd ban him from the community if I could. If he's defending child molesters and being nonchalant about being one, he obviously doesn't consider pedophilia and child molestation wrong, and he's a danger to children and everyone with children.

to your meetings. first tell him why he is
no longer wanted there. if he shows up again
he won't show up after that. have you heard him
say he's a child molester or is it everyone says
someone else heard him confess to being a child molester
and the word is spreading?

Too often, we trust people we shouldn't. People you would least expect turn out to be child molesters - clergy, coaches, teachers.....

At least, in this case, you know you need to watch this particular individual. You can ensure that your children never have any contact with him. According to their age level, explain to your kids as much as they can understand. Make sure they know to come to you, if any adult ever makes them feel uncomfortable.
