So my daughters childhood friend won the PM lottery, the cottage, my cottage, sigh.
Good for him, he is on cloud nine. Shared the ticket with two friends so they will be selling it, besides what does a 20 something need a 1.1 million $ cottage, escpecailly shared three ways with other guys of roughtly the same age. Me, on the other hand, would know exactly what I would do with that cottage. Sell my house and retire at it. I've been buying these tickets forever and never even won the low prize. We both joked about winning this cottage before the draw about who was going to win never really thinking that it would be either of us. I'm really happy for him, and now I can say that someone I know won a lottery instead of a friend of a friend's cousin won. LOL. I've said it before, I'm never buying another ticket again, but I know I will, and dream again. |

I don't play the lotto but my DH does faithfully and never wins anything.

I play the 'Power Ball' once in awhile. I know I'll never win but I know I'll REALLY never win if I don't play.

I actually know one of the three guys who won the $250 million dollar powerball in connecticut recently. This was like a month ago. No joke... I've known the guy for like 15 years now. We were all shocked.

It's funny you post that Caledon, my mother won the Cancer Society one, 2 cadillacs or the cash. It's only $92,000, but it's a nice Christmas surprise - for her, she already told my sister and I we aren't getting any, which always means we are!

Mom wins all the time on that one and Princess Margaret, the tickets are around $100 each, but it goes to cancer research, she won a wine aerator (?) a stepper, some other small stuff. I can't wait to go home at Christmas and rub her like a little good luck charm, forget a rabbit foot, I'm having mom's shrunk and put on my key chain
![]() It's nice to know someone who has won, I have to agree with Caledon - it gives the rest of us hope - well except me, I'm a degenerate gambler and stay away from lotteries, even for charity. |
