Crazy neighbor thinks dogs should NEVER bark.

I try not to let my dogs bark. Barking irritates me. Not to the point I would say anything to someone... Two houses over has a hound/spaniel dog who barks when it's out, it's annoying. My rule is if the dogs are quiet, they can be outside as long as they want, because of the way our house is set up, I can supervise them, one bark and in they come. It's totally unnecessary. We live in a subdivision, we have neighbors on both sides and behind us. The guys all work different hours and some are away from home for a few days at a time. Dh occasionally is on projects which are nights, he has had calls where he is gone 30 hours straight (emergency calls) the last thing he needs when he comes home is for anybody's dogs to be barking and being a nuisance while he is sleeping. Hence, knowing one neighbor is away 4 days and home 4 days, another is a hydro worker who deals with after hour situations, I try to keep my dogs quiet and provide for my neighborhood's quiet, reasonable enjoyment of their property. If the dogs are wound up and want to play, they get taken to a park where they can be off-lead or on a long line and can go at it. We have a great neighborhood and part of it is because we all give one another respect.
