Cool New job at a clinic :)

I just wanted to share because I am LOVING my new job. I am now an office coordinator for a low-cost spay/neuter clinic run by our local Humane Society. I've been a stay-at-home mom for several years while taking college courses part-time and recently decided I was ready to go back to work. It's part time (about 30 hours per week) which is perfect for me! I have worked for my best friend's pet rescue (running the adoptions at Petsmart) and it was probably my favorite job. I LOVE helping people and knowing that I am making a difference in the outrageous pet over-population problem in our area. Oh, and we've already had a few GSD's come in since I've been there

Congratulations!!! I have an internship at the local vet's office, along with volunteering for pet adoptions on weekends and my normal job. And I've seen a lot of gorgeous shepherds! Anyways, that is some GREAT work! It really makes a world of difference to have shelters that hold low-cost spay/neuter!!! Do they let you take your baby with you to work?

Nah, we have 2 cats that live in the office, plus I don't think I'd want her exposed to all those animals. Unfortunately for a lot of them it's their first trip to see a vet.
We do approximately 30 surgeries per day, 4 days per week and the clinic opened in 2007. I know it definitely makes a difference but it still blows my mind that we are fully booked every single day! I wish people would call BEFORE their pets had 3 or 4 litters of puppies or kittens!!

If you find something that you love to do and can get paid for it, it just can't get any better. Congrats on the new job.
