Well if any of you need v convincing perhaps take a gander at some of the tooth and mouth problems around 1750.

Most all toothpaste are exactly the same, whether they say whitening, brightning, daytime, nightime. Fluoride is the main, active ingredient and very important. You all better be brushing and flossing..your teeth and your dogs! lol
Agreed!
We buy whatever paste is found at Big Lots.
My teeth and gums are great, well, my teeth have always had a problem of getting cavities but they rave about no plaque and no gingivitis or gum recession when I go for my check ups.
I always use a soft head tooth brush though. Medium or harder heads will cause gum problems.

And if you use tooth paste on the dog, don't use human kind at all. There's dog kind with chicken flavor or whatever, but Tom's uses xylitol and that can be toxic to dogs, cause their blood sugar to crash badly, and causes permanent liver and/or kidney failure in a high enough dose.
