Default What goes around comes around

I guess it shouldn't anymore but it still does surprise me what people post on the internet!

If you are going to post something about someone be sure it's the EXACT same thing you would say to their face.

If not, don't be surprised when they find out about it (and trust me, they will) and you find yourself short one friend, out of the club, no longer part of the team, blacklisted or whatever.

There's constructive criticism and then there's just downright whiny complaining and NO-ONE wants a complainer as part of their team, club, group, etc.

LOL, sometimes I have had google searches find older threads on this forum than our internal search engine. Go figure. If it is on the internet it is there for the whole world to see. EVEN if it is on a private forum it is public.

I have found that I was not one of the club because of what I have said in person and through e-mail so be it. I don't try to say things to intentionally hurt people either in person or on the internet but I have discovered that not being part of the club is not the end of the world. Maybe it was a good thing I discovered there are other things to do. So if I found myself in that position again life does go on...

Exactly.
What I say on here I have no issues in saying in person. My feelings regarding my team are well known. It's not the people itself but the training that sucks and we just need to step it up. What I said on here, I've said in front of my team. And believe me, it's not a secret that quite a few teams in NY have problems. So why not tell the truth and how it is. You can't just paint a cute picture and do as if there isn't a problem because that won't change anything and sometimes you get to the point where all you want to do is VENT, VENT and VENT some more because you are not getting anywhere!

They all know that if I can't see any change within the next couple of months that I will quit the K9 team, remain with the ground pounders and concentrate on titling my dogs within the United Schutzhund Club of America in RH.

Ohh, that is a nice one!

Remember when we only had to worry about our reputations in "real life"?

I remember a few months ago a friend warning me about someone, I was like, how did you find all that information out? Her response, "I know how to do an internet search". The stuff she knew, a PI couldn't come up with that info.

No idea what this thread is referring to but on the internet if there's something you don't want some people to hear you say, then don't say it.

That's why I don't use a pseudonym. You wouldn't believe how many posts I've thought better of and deleted. A lot of times if I'm wanting to fly off the handle or jump into a discussion (duggar thread) I sit back and think, "What good will this do? Why do I want to engage?" If I can't think of a good reason, I back away from the keyboard.

That's some really good advice.
