That's exactly like me! I used to engage in every single thread, and now I catch myself sometimes, and close the window in the middle of composing my post.

Yeah - I need to do this more. Luckily, I've already started to stop myself a few times, and I've started to learn that I need to pick my battles.

I've found that, if it's a topic that really gets me interested and going, I need to just look the other way and pretend I never saw it. Otherwise, I might ramble on and try to shove my opinions down someone's throat, and start to make enemies for no apparent reason. I'm proud to say that there are a few threads with responses to my posts where I could have responded with a smart alleck remark, or with a sharp tongue - but I held myself back and was as to the point with no fluff as I could be.

I feel better that I've started to be able to hold back and just ignore things I don't necessarily agree with, rather than attacking or voicing my opposing opinion, when I know I will fight for it.
