That's really terrible that someone used your kid to send you a nasty message about not going to church. That's pretty low. I know what you mean about preachers not being perfect. I went to a church when I lived in Arkansas that I ended up leaving because I was so appalled by his lack of Biblical founding for some of what he preached. Just pray about it, sometimes you have to leave.

Confessions?
I have 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
The son of one of my brothers died this weekend of an overdose. He was 22. I love my brother but he is a terrible parent. He loves his kids. He takes care of them. He spends a fortune on them. But his personality is so over-powering that his kids are alienated just by intimidation. As with all of us, he is his own worst enemy. I can't figure out what he is doing wrong. I can only think that he wears them down on a day by day basis of high expectations. I have no clue. His son's overdose was not ruled a suicide but rather an accident. He has been headed this way for a few years. It is such a sad waste of an intelligent, talented young man. I can only give condolences to my brother and his family but I can't let go of the feeling that blame lays somewhere in there.

That is the thing, the preacher gave a wonderful sermon it was his behavior towards me after the service that offended me. And he did something similar 2 sundays ago. It gets even worse, on New Years Day I talked my DH into attending church with me and that is a big deal because he is a different religion, he's Catholic. Well, he came to church with me and this same preacher (he is not our regular preacher but he's a guest preacher who has been visiting us quite frequently) had to go and close the sermon that day with a story that directly insulted my DH's religion. He now says that he will NEVER attend church with me again and now this. Say a prayer for me too please!

Geramy has been dying for some fried chicken so he bought some drumsticks, got them all battered up and made dinner. Thats awesome. i love that he loves cooking (especially since i hate cooking. Gimme a microwave and i'm good). but i seriously HATE eating chicken that still has the bone in. I mean i hate it so much that it makes me gag and feel like i'm going to throw up. I buy boneless skinless chicken breasts because i hate the bone still being in there. When we my parents would do fried chicken and rice, i would spend 20 minutes in the kitchen peeling all the chicken i could off the bones. I cant stand it when i bite into a piece of chicken and get a tendon like piece or a bone. THAT makes me lose all possible desire to eat and the food gets wasted because i lost my appetite. just ick!!! I just can not handle it.

I also hate hate hate pork chops. Always have. Nothing against pigs. I just HATE pork. Its good and i'll eat it if Geramy manages to convince me to buy pork chops but I wont be happy about it. I'll take two bites max and eat the side dishes instead. Just not a fan at all. And i'm always afraid its undercooked and theres worm eggs in there or i'm afraid its over cooked and then its chewy and that doesnt work for me at all. I dont even eat bacon! I love the smell of bacon frying in the morning but i refuse to eat it. It just doesnt taste as good as it smells.


Yes... i'm very picky about food but when you have my stomach, you'd be picky too.

I am weird about chicken wings. I will eat the drum part of the wing but absolutely refuse to eat the other part-the part I call the wingy looking part. It really disgusts me! And I hate yellow cheese on my hamburger but the funny thing is I like cheese-just not on my hamburger.

haha I LOVE pickles. I usually get a pickle when i go to a movie but only at ONE theater back home because no one else orders the right ones i guess. I cant stand pickles on my hamburger. Love pickles but take them off my burgers. My husband thinks i'm crazy lol.

I adore hot wings... but they have to be boneless. I've always been a weird eater. And i usually have to have a sauce of some kind with meals. I LOVE dipping sauces like ranch for french fries or BBQ sauce or Zesty sauce on my whopper from burger king. I'm a sauce fan haha
