Oh! I forgot to mention Lord of the Rings. It gave me interest in trying to go to New Zealand, and inspired me to write the stories I come up with. (:

National Velvet (pretty much any horse movie gets me crying).
Lassie Come Home (the old one)
The Lord of the Rings
K-9

I know there are others, but these are the ones that come right to mind.

Me too along with Star Trek and most sci-fi/fantasy. I actually love the first three movies the best (episodes 4-6) better than the second three movies (episodes 1-3), but all are good.

I don't usually watch and rewatch old movies but some of the classics you see repeatedly -ok the question was not just enjoyment but IMPACT

I cry no matter how silly sad. My husband just shook his head when we took my young grandaughters to see frankenweenie and all three of us left with tears running down our cheeks.

I can't get through "Its a wonderful life" without just crying at the end
Shine
Ghandi,
The NeverEnding Story (the first not the 2nd)
Mr Hollands Opus (only movie that took my husband to tears, but we grew up during Vietnam and remember brothers of friends coming home in a box)

To Kill a Mockingbird
Mr Smith Goes to Washington

The Green Mile
The man who fell to earth

Oh gosh......there are more.....
