its been linked to being an OCD behavior. Its just like some people carry bottles of glue with them everywhere because nobody noticed it until it was too far past to simply tell them not to do it.

I had a teacher who when his wife was pregnant craved fresh asphalt so they'd spend hours in the middle of the night just driving around looking for freshly laid asphalt for her to suck on. Sometimes people do crazy things.

I find it fascinating that the computers that used to take up ROOMS did less than the current desktops (or is it our digital watches now?)

That in Apollo 13 they used less amps than a vacuum cleaner to return to earth.

That cell phones - unheard of when I was a young woman - are now so common many of us don't have land lines.
