I took him in because his face was all swollen this morning, which turned out to be no big deal... But while we were there they noticed an irregular heartbeat, so I have to bring him in for a consultation and an ECG.
Having a harmless heart condition myself, I'm hoping it's nothing. But I want to get it checked out ASAP to be CERTAIN that it's nothing. I'd be devastated if anything happened to my boy.

They didn't think so. He thought that was just a bite, or maybe he bumped his nose on something when I wasn't with him. The swelling is going down. But as part of the exam he listened to his heart for a good long while. When he kept frowning and doing it again, I figured it wasn't the best sign.

I have an appointment scheduled on Thursday for a consultation and an ECG. Now I just need to not panic until I have further information. Hopefully it's nothing, or it was simply a reaction to the small dosage of benadryl I gave him to help with the swelling. I'd rather KNOW than wonder.

I wish..only for my viewing pleasure..when someone gets banned you could look up their name and find the post that broke the camel's back.
I guess it's the same reason why you can't help but to look at a wreck when you drive by. Morbid curiosity.
