Today is like something out of the twilight zone.
Jereme was trying to sell some old (and ugly) Ethan Allen furniture. Some guy agrees to buy it, and says that a delivery truck will show up at 1:00. 1:00 rolls around and a rental truck rolls up and two teenagers get out, STINKING like pot and barely awake they're so stoned. Eventually they're petting the dog, who is very intently sniffing in one of the kid's pockets. The dog then sits down, looks at me, and woofs.... they left pretty quick after that.... About ten minutes later, a guy pulls up to the side driveway in a minivan FULL of barking dogs. Jereme and Echo walk over and the guy asks if we've seen his yellow lab. In the van is already a beagle, two dobermans, and a poodle. It was VERY strange. |

![]() And yes...turkey street gang... we have a rogue flock of turkeys that roams around the neighborhood and causes a ruckus. I haven't seen them in a while though... it just started getting really cold, so I suspect they've hunkered down.

was heading down to pick my kids up from my grandmas house this morning. I always take the same route there but theres ALWAYS something different. Halfway there I see this guy walking hit pit bull on a flexi. Using it inappropriately of course, especially along a busy street. The pit is busy play bouncing at the end of his flexi along the fence, tail going lightning speed, butt wiggling all over as he's play bouncing along this fence at a boxer and basset hound. The boxer usually is barking like a maniac at anyone else who walks by but he was play bouncing right back butt wiggling all over the place. Couldn't help but laugh.
At the light further down the street, four teenagers are running across the street at the intersection with a beautiful pit running along with them. The girl with the leash, one, wasn't holding the leash properly and two, dropped her phone halfway through the intersection. Instead of having one of the other girls take the leash, she just let the leash go. The pit got hit by a car. The driver wouldn't have had the chance to slow down. The dog was still alive but got hit pretty hard. Ridiculous. Was so mad. I couldn't get over to help either. Luckily someone else saw the whole thing and while the female in the car was chewing out the teenagers, the driver was busy getting help from the leash holder to load the dog in the car. SO MAD!!!! Extremely stupid move.

that is too funny!!! Don't put it past him. He may have picked up some tips from the other dogs... Smart dogs... always find a way to surprise us. Way to go Echo! lol. Don't think those teens will be showing back up at your house for ANY reason. They think you've got a Narc Dog! haha. Turkey's are mean!!! Probably one of those animals I'd actually aim for with my car instead of try to avoid! You live is such an amusing place. lol.

Oh my god, that is TERRIBLE... I hope the dog can be saved....what was the girl's reaction?! One of the big (well, only) bummers about not having the vow renewal at my parent's is that the dog can't be there Is it weird to email the guy at the Inn and ask if they'd be ok with us just taking a few pictures with him outside? My parents live down the road so it'd be easy to drop him off after....
