I have an interview Saturday for a veterinary hospital/boarding kennel nearby as a kennel assistant.

Shortly after I'd sent the email in response to the craigslist ad, another ad was posted saying to avoid the place at all costs and that they treat their employees like crap. Uh oh.

Oh no! Hopefully it was just posted by a disgruntled employee/former employee? I'd just be hyper-aware of how people seem and interact with one another. It can't hurt to go in for the interview...but hopefully you'll be able to get a sense for what the place is like. After all, you certainly don't need a stressful job where they treat you horribly!

Well I feel like I'm dying..I'm never this sick. I can barely hold down water and have yet to hold down any crackers today. Don't know what to do

Aiden is so far up my butt and I feel bad that he's stuck in here with me all day, UGH

Oh no!

I hope it's just a 24hr bug that will pass quickly. I had something along those lines the other month and it was TERRIBLE, but it was over within a day or so. Try to get as much sleep as you can, and maybe try ice chips instead of water? I was able to handle that better since it wasn't as much going into my stomach at a time.

Bad stuff going around.

Get tested for influenza. I guess some people are having these symptoms with the flu and you may be able to start on Tamiflu if it's soon enough.

Why did I skip my run last night? It was a nice 22 degrees! Tonight will be a lovely 9 degrees. Sigh. It's not so bad when I can go to the trails and run in the woods, not as cold but Milla is in heat so leashed runs only. This will learn me to procrastinate!

I need work to get busy. Seriously.

My friend has been looking into buying a house to get away from renting, and she's been asking me for help since we have similar taste, and I just went through the process a few years ago so I'm not bad at figuring out which ones to skip over, which ones to take another look at, etc.

Unfortunately...that has ME looking for homes. I like planning. I really do. Sam wants kids. Not now - but at some point. Our house is small. The thought of kids in our current home? Scary. They need an actual ROOM. Dogs? Dogs are happy sleeping on the floor by your bed. They don't need their own room, or a bathroom in the house, etc. Another dog I can do. Not so much a child. So I keep looking at homes, thinking about what is absolutely necessary, and what would simply be nice to have. There are some awesome homes! Older, beautifully maintained hardwood floors, larger rooms, quiet streets....

Sadly, I'm not looking to move for a few years. Regardless of when WE move, there are projects that need to be completed that will help us to sell the house when the time comes. We're redoing the kitchen this year and FINALLY getting the yard fenced in. Next year? Refinishing the floors and getting new carpet put in upstairs.

Like I said. I need things to get busy at work. I keep THINKING.

Evan, i dont think i could be civil towards my sister if she was like that. one of my sisters is 19 and a volunteer fire fighter and my other sister is 3 lol. i think i'd politely ask her to step in front of a bus or step on a landmine if she thinks telling me how to spend my money and live my life is an okay subject. That would be like my mother telling me how to be financially responsible! FYI, my mother is horrible with money. They have so many past due bills and late payments its insane.

I'd be like yup, my dog is vicious. dont make any sudden moves. she'll try to taste you first before deciding if she wants to take a piece out of you!

I told my youngest sister (who is a few fries short of a Happy Meal) that Hondo eats souls.
