Great words of wisdom!

My daughter made some bad choices fresh out of high school. She knew I didn't agree with them. But they were her choices. I didn't support her...emotionally or financially. Every time she'd call with a sob story needing money, I'd say "Sucks being a grown-up."

Then one day she called me, needing me to come get her. I blazed a trail to where she was, threw all her stuff in the back of my truck and took her home. It was a hard lesson for her to learn..but it was harder on me. She is now independent, educated, living on her own two feet.

Years later, when ever either one of us complain about something...health care..taxes..etc. we'll both say, "Sucks being a grown up."

On a lighter note. My other son is home from deployment so picking him up in Jacksonville, Fl. on Sat. He's turned 21 while deployed so I've promised him we would go out for beer and hot wings.

I really hate it when you hear a song a zillion times and think, "I really like that song!" Then you look up the words and think, "What the hec is that supposed to mean?"

I'm playing around with the Flickr app for my phone. And I realized I now have a much easier way to bombard you all with Baxter photos. Y'know. Those of you who aren't drowning in them from Facebook, that is.

Awe Baxter is so handsome!

And I don't mine the FB bombardment of Baxter photos. Makes me feel normal.

My kitten insists on digging to the very bottom of the litter box before doing his business. It then fuses to the plastic and I am forced to scrape it off. He seems to enjoy watching me struggle while in a deep knee bend for 10 minutes every morning. Currently in the market for a big spatula and miner's helmet.

I really don't have time for these "treasure hunts" every day.

There I feel better.
