Ah, I can relate. I love chocolate but I ate so much of it two days ago that I can't even think about chocolate without feeling weird. Hopefully, the sick feeling will pass quickly. Maybe drink lots of water?

oi vey... had Echo on the bed with me, he was laying sort of close to the edge and I was snoozing.... I hear a "THUD".... he fell off the bed totally went butt over tea kettle. Poor guy. Nothing seems hurt but his ego, luckily.

getting sick is no fun, having a yelling screaming cry baby for a boss is no fun either. especially when I'm stuck with her for another week.

I'm glad that my MIL is making us feel guilty for not coming up to MN for Christmas. She seems to forget that we just paid for a wedding, which means we don't have endless amounts of cash to spend. Coming up there includes the cost of gas, new tires (because the current ones aren't safe for long trips), finding someone to take care of the dog (since we won't kennel him), etc. It just isn't feasible. So after telling us how much she understands, she just haaaaaas to say:

"It's okay, I understand. I just wonder when you and Evan are actually going to come out here for Christmas. Maybe one day."

Arrgghhh. It's not like we just don't want to. We can't justify the cost.

I scored big time at Academy this weekend. They had several different dog treats on sale for 88 cents a bag. The good kind, that normally run $3.99 - $10 a bag.

Yea...we bought them all.....While we were checking out a lady behind us asked if we were going to re-sell all those treats. Hubby says no, we just spoil our dogs. She says, "I never buy treats for my dog. I guess I really should." Hubby reaches into our bag and pulls out a bag of treats, he hands it to her and says, "Give this to your dog and tell her Merry Christmas."

Hubby is such a softy.

So, I'm a dork.

Just wanted to give a quick update on Zelda. Our foster at work. I asked my boss if I could network her on the GSDC on FB. He said, "Please" as the holidays were coming and having a dog aggressive dog in a cageless/boarding facility is a bit of a challenge especially w/ space.

She was running out of time with us and it was really sad because in the right home, she would be a GREAT DOG.

UPDATE: I posted her, and we (me; my email, and my job's email) pretty much blew up. I was overwhelmed!!! I am backlempt!!!

Zelda is going to a home in Missouri w/ acreage. Experience rescuing GSDSs....References checked out, Zelda is vetted up, has her travel permit/health check.
And her new owners can check her out on a webcam a few hours a day if they want.

*sniffle sniffle*
The world is a great place because GSD owners are in it!!

Not necessary....I like cookies so why would I think that my dogs would not....

I would however have to stop at the border and hide my plates on my car......*giggles* Don't want to be shot for having CA plates.

So, I made Sam help me to rearrange our living room last night under the guise of, "But, wouldn't the Christmas tree look so much better over in THAT corner? Oh, gosh, we'll have to rearrange, it would look goofy if we left the couch where it is." It helped that we've been talking about moving things around for a while now. It also conveniently gets the room set up for his Christmas present. Thankfully, it's easy for me to hide what it is.

Sam: Oh look! Now the room is perfectly set up...guess we have to go out and buy that TV now.
Me: Nice try. Maybe in a few years.

I say it all the time, so it was totally believable.

Unfortunately....Baxter is heartbroken over his couch being moved away from the window. Now he can't lay down in cushion-smooshing comfort and watch the world go by (and bark at all the "bad guys"....that may or may not be there). I actually feel really bad about how stressed he seems over this change. I feel like I took away some of his happiness.
