See, that makes sense. People throwing a fit that they're not allowed to get trashed at noon while on the clock really doesn't.

And beer shandies are so much better than beermosas... good call.

Spent last Sun night in the ER vet with Jonah. Turns out it was a really bad reaction to the antibiotic he was on for the infection in his paws. Chloramphenicol - don't ever use it. Very scary reaction.

Took him off the meds and he was back to normal by Wed, even perky yesterday. He's not having such a good day today. I wish we could just make him all better.

What's the next step for him? Did they put him on anything else?

Not yet. His breakfast is still sitting in his crate untouched. I'm going to make him some chicken and rice for dinner. He was drooling a little again and coughing this afternoon. Just sent another message to the Penn vet.

Did you have time to read the manuka honey website. I haven't looked at it yet.

I've had a nasty cold. This is the difference in how my dog's handle my....cranky-itis....

Tug: Refused to come out of his kennel. Sat in his dog house and stared at me as if to say, "What? You think I'm stupid?" I just left the door open and went back into the house. He ventured out after the door was shut and I was safely tucked away.

Maggie: Could not get closer to me. I think she would have crawled down my throat if she thought she could fit. Every time I'd sneeze or cough she'd wildly wag her tail. I couldn't tell if she was doing it because she was glad I was still alive, or if she was thinking, "Yea, you deserved that you crazy witch."

Hondo: Laid on the floor at a safe distance from me. Kept an eye on me where ever I was but never bothered me. The moment I threw back my blankie to get up, he'd be right by my side as if to say, "Here ya go, hon. Lean on me. I'm here for you."

Lonestar /aka/ Crack puppy: Carried anything that wasn't tied down and either put it on the floor by the couch, or would lay it on top of me. Actually crawled up my body and laid across my head. I think he was attempting to finsh the job in case the cold didn't do me in. After the billionth time of him attempting to pull my blankie off of me, I banished him to his kennel, where he proceeded to give me the evil, yellow eyed stare.

I think somehow, Lonestar managed to give me this cold. I wouldn't be suprised if he has a lab set up somewhere, brewing up nasty bacteria with my name all over it.

I am really bummed out, today was to be one of my (online) friends' last days with their dog who they think had a brain tumor, and another friend is thinking they may soon have to make a decision regarding their dog who has DM and is not doing well. Both relatively young dogs...
