Well, he likes guns. And TV.

In all honesty, he likes to relax when he's home. His current position at work has him traveling a LOT, and his job is very physically demanding - hence the desire to have some downtime when he gets back in town.

He's really gotten into guns over the past few years, but he already has his next 18 purchases planned out. I may be exaggerating a BIT, but you get the point! He does need a gun safe, but what he has suffices for what he currently owns.

He loves going out to see movies with me, loves BAD movies (MST3K fan). He's recently formed a slight obsession with Duluth Trading Company - I joke that he's returning to his Minnesotan roots and is turning into a lumberjack.

He loves his power tools....but he has most of what he needs, and I'd rather not get him something that will essentially be work-related.

He tends to have a quirky, dark sense of humor that some people fail to understand. He loves George Carlin, Henry Rollins, the Bob & Tom Show, etc...

A couple of things come to mind (and I love George Carlin LOL)

- gun magazine subscription - or two or three - for him to read during his down time
- cleaning supplies for his guns (I know nothing about guns, so this is a shot in the dark!)
- can you pre-buy movie tickets - or get him a gift card to 5 movies of his choosing (which means you HAVE to go regardless LOL)
- can you find the comedians on DVD?
- a massager? The hand held one with the big "rollers" on it and has a "heat" button
- a couple of professional massage sessions (with a really hot masseuse LOL - that might help if he's not into massages!) - even better if you can find one that comes to the house so he doesn't have to get up and leave!

There's my suggestions for now!

No mancave in this house - I mean, there's a small, damp, leaky room in the basement that I jokingly CALL his mancave/where he will sleep if he misbehaves....

But in all honesty, this house isn't big enough for a man cave. He'll have one in our next house, though!

Those aren't bad ideas! I did think of a giftcard for the movie theater we go to, but I already got a giftcard for us to the restaurant we like to go to for anniversaries (mmmmmm steeeaaaakkkkkk).

I'll keep the others in mind, though!

My only dilemma is that he indicated that he doesn't really want "small" gifts from me - he'd prefer one or two larger gifts, if that makes sense!

Hooray, its 10:30 and I can finally move! This back pain stuff is the WORST... I feel ok otherwise but can barely move enough to get out of bed. Working from home today, for sure. Hopefully I'll hear something on the resumes I've been sending out.
