I didn't see your post earlier... So sorry that you are going through this.
I can't imagine that it is an easy choice to make, but I know you would only make the best decisions for your animals.

Hugs to you Alexis. It's never an easy decision even if it is the right one.

I'm so sorry Alexis. I'll never forget when I was 21 and had to PTS my 20 year old cat ... it was absolutely heartbreaking.
Hugs to you

Oh good...
I talked to my mom, and she DID make an appointment for her dog to get his poor belly looked at. I wish she would have done it sooner, but at least it's getting taken care of. Poor pup. ![]() In other news, it looks like Sam gets to stay home this week, hooray!!! He was supposed to head down to Georgia or Louisiana or some such southern state with his manager for a job. He wasn't really NEEDED, but his manager thought he might be getting a bit restless in the warehouse, which is true. However, Sam needed to make an emergency appointment with the dentist for this morning, so he would have delayed his manager, and that just didn't work. No problem. And, thankfully, he won't be losing his teeth. We have NO idea what caused it, but he managed to get a horrendous infection on his upper gum spanning about 5-6 of his front teeth. It looked absolutely awful. Cleared up quickly with antibiotics, thank goodness.

Dear Modcloth: You will be the death of my bank account.
In other news, my parents called to tell me about their pup's vet visit. Staph infection all over his belly. Shockingly, he's on antibiotics. I'm glad he's getting what he needs, but why oh why did they let it go on for so long?!

Very sorry Alexis.
Signed the papers on the house today! All that is left is the actual closing and to move in! It's a divorce situation and I feel really bad for the wife, so when we did the walk-through inspection I left a card with a $50 gift card for a restaurant and a note to take the kids for dinner on us. Sometimes I am not a raving bitch But don't let it get around!
