I feel your pain. For years Mike decided his calling in life was to collect sport cards...any sport. Boxes..boxes..boxes of sport cards. Closets full. An entire wall in our game room...full.
Then one day, the light went out and he decided he didn't want to play that game anymore. With a gentle push from me, we hauled them all to an auction. I kid you not, we stacked them in the dressing room of my 3 horse, slant load trailer. There were so many that we had to put them in the back as well (think of the weight). The auctioneer stacked them on PALLETS. Sadly, nobody wants a ton of sports cards. I think Mike made less than $500. on them. I would have rather burned them.....justice.

I can't really say anything. I have a "carriage house" too small to be a garage; FULL of my mom's things. I was going to have a yard sale but I just don't have time.
I will call Salvation Army or hopefully find some Vet's organization that wants the stuff....

Sam just seems to have an obsession with Red Wing Shoes. And boots. And guns. And, since he's a beer snob, he wants to keep almost every new (empty) bottle of the ones he really likes. Except that he doesn't confine it to the basement or the garage - they end up scattered all over the house.......

Wait..wait..I've got a good one. During deer season, Mike saves all the bags that the ice (for the coolers) come in. He carefully inties them, dumps the ice, then rolls them up.
Seriously?

Moral of these stories? Husbands don't get rid of anything!
I wait for the weeks that my hubby goes to TN on business and I get a dumpster. Twice a year I purge our basement, garage and closets. Keeps me busy while he is gone.
