Wait...the can of milk caramelizes while it's inside the pot of water? How does that work?

Our neighbour invited us over for Thanksgiving! It will be nice since I can come home and let Sigurd go out for a bathroom break. We were originally going to go spend it with my SO's family, but it was a 5 hour trip (round), and Sigurd wasn't welcome. Didn't like that plan, good thing I have a wonderful neighbour.

I usually make a pumpkin pie from scratch, but my neighbour said I don't have to bring anything. I'm just going to bring gluten-free things for my boyfriend to eat. Anyone have gluten free recipes!?

You bring the pot of water to a boil and you let it boil for 2.5 hours. I have no idea HOW it works, but it works.

My boyfriend and I will be going to my parents house. My mom loves to cook Thanksgiving dinner. And my brother and his family will be there too. So it will be lots of fun.

I'll be working all night til 10, so my plans are to eat an entire pie during my shift.

It works because Eagle's milk is sweetened condensed milk: it has sugar in it and the sugar caramelizes.
