To all those who serve or have served, we thank you! Not just today, but every day. To all the military families, we also give our thanks for your sleepless nights and worried days.
To my baby brother, Semper Fi and OOHRAH! But fame is theirs - and future days; On pillar'd brass shall tell their praise; Shall tell - when cold neglect is dead - "These for their country fought and bled." by Philip Freneau Of all the clips that I found (and thanks for all those who helped!!), this one touched me the most. |

Thanks for posting that- and thanks to your brother. My nephew is an Army Ranger in Afghanistan right now, while his wife is home expecting their first baby- a girl named Grace. Hopefully, he'll be back before she's born.

I am a veteran. My father and brother are veterans (brother still AD). My mother is retired DoD (forward deployed her whole career).
I would like to thank anyone who participated in any Veteran's Day event or who thanked a veteran. Nationwide only about 9% of the population are veterans and that number is getting smaller as the older veterans fade away and the forces stay small. The military today is smaller due to technology and many of the young folks do not understand the honor of the military. In showing that you care you are setting an example to everyone around you. In America we also often forget that we are not alone. For any veterans of other countries forces I think it is best to use the usual greeting of Native American veterans Welcome home Brother
