Default I’m actually getting paid to cook!

Here in Albuquerque there are a lot of transplants, like us for instance (we moved here from Minnesota). Anyway, my son works at the local ice arena and a fellow from Michigan that skates there found out that I make pasty’s (pasty’s are kinda popular in Michigan and Minnesota). This guy is paying me $7.50 per pasty – he wants 8 of them. He is having a party on Friday night and will be serving my pasty’s. I better do a good job!

In case you don’t know what a pasty is, well, they are basically, meat, potatoes carrots, onions, and rutabaga, incased in a pie crust. They are yummy!!!

I dont really have a recipe. Actually, I never cook using a recipe. However, you can google "pasty" and you'll get hits. I beleive there are lots, and lots of pasty recipes on the internet. I use both carrots and rutabaga in mine...some people use one or the other. Also, I use two kinds of meat - beef sirlion and pork. Good luck!!

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or play with it, pee on it and walk away.
