Normally for any device that gets spilled on I say REMOVE BATTERY, turn off, put it in rice or with a fan on it, but if you turn it on and already have problems, it's likely that other means of drying aren't going to help. Often the act of turning it on or running electricity through it is what shorts something out.

I know, it was a luck shot! The cover contained most of the liquid, so I don't think much of the water actually made it inside- although I could see the screen was all fogged up. My best friend gave the phone to me when he got the newer fancier iphone- he's a priest so maybe there was a little divine intervention!

I turned mine off and put it in a bag of rice. It did revive after a few days but was never quite the same.

I might invest in an Otterbox...

my pup has already gotten a hold of my ipod and htc touch pro... thankfully i use screen protectors and body glove...

hope everything works out well, there is a possibility it will turn to normal.. ive never heard of drying them out in rice, might have to try that out if it happens
We looked into insurance for th new Iphone and the insurance is $11.99 per month and the replacement deductible is $100 I think. Definitely not a super great deal when you do the math
